Course Objectives:

Risk Management for Accounting Professionals will provide accountants and other professional staff with the knowledge and skills to effectively understand and manage risk within their organisation. It will enable familiarity with traditional risk management methodologies, such as ISO 31000 and Enterprise Risk Management.

It provides examples of a wide range of accounting and risk techniques, necessary to be an effective risk manager.  It will equip the professional staff with the skills needed to become leaders in the practice of risk management to ensure that their organisation has the ability to adapt processes and controls in an ever-changing business environment.

The Risk Management for Professionals course is designed that each unit of the course uses a multi-sensory learning platform that includes explainer videos, problem-solving exercises; learning interactions; interactive decision trees; quizzes; and a series of case studies requiring the student to provide global business advice.
There are 5 units in the course. Each unit comprises of 5 hours of structured learning and 25 hours for the 5 unit package. Units can be taken either as an individual unit or as a fully integrated package. The individual units cover the following areas:

  1. Introduction to Risk Management
  2. Enterprise Risk Management
  3. Functional Risk Management
  4. International Risk Management
  5. Becoming a Risk Adviser
Each individual unit in the course is structured to qualify for 5 hours of CPD/CPE hours or 25 hours for the whole course (refer to your professional organisation for compliance requirements).

Upon completion of the course (5 units in total), a Professional Certificate in Risk Management will be issued certified by the WORLD CERTIFICATION INSTITUTE.
